Gerald Emerick was born in Philadelphia and grew up writing songs and performing in bars in New Jersey at a young age. His work with school-mates in a Punk/New Wave band called Quincy eventually led to the biggest record deal in history for a new band with Columbia records. The band was managed by Hilly Krystal of CBGBs. Musical endeavors led to various performance art projects in New York’s East Village.

Since moving to Los Angeles, Gerald Emerick has contributed music to many film, TV, and commercial projects.
He is also an award winning director and an actor having worked on many major motion pictures, TV shows, and commercials.

Gerald Emerick records his songs today with some of the top musicians around including Pete Thomas (Elvis Costello) and Phil Madeira (EmmyLou Harris) giving each song a unique Post New Wave Americana.
